This past summer I was working abroad in New York. One night in the city I was these two murals on the side of building s and I thought they were amazing! I used the Audrey Hepburn as inspiration for a painting I did during my project. I really liked the way the artist used pattern and colour and thought i would try my hand at it. I was looking into the 1920's and I had done a series of drawings and mark makings that I wanted to try and bring together in this painting. I didn't take this idea further but I'm happy I experimented with it.
