Synesthesia further development

I was very interested in how someone with Synesthesia would experience taste compare to people without it.  How did colour correlate to taste? You think of chocolate it's brown or purple due to Cadburys marketing and Coke is brown and red. I wanted to research playing with sense.
I was very interested in the artist Michel Gagnet as he portrayed taste in his drawings of Remy in Ratatouille. He used a range of shapes and sounds to show the explosion of flavour and taste to the little mouse. I really liked the idea of a taste explosion shown through shapes and colours! I thought I would develop this idea further and see what I came up with. I took a sample of his shapes and tried to make a few little animations with them. I wanted to produce a whole lot of stop motion animations that would get across my ideas of sound and taste in one.
I did produce a few but they lost a lot of steam and I never really carried it on any further. I just wanted to bring the shapes that Michel used in his visualisation to life in my own animations. What I had in my head didn't really come together as well as I had hoped but I carried on with eh idea.
I developed a different idea for a stop motion. I thought I could do a stop motion what was very cartoon like and the colour would be associated with which fruit I was doing. Green for apple and purple for plum.
