The 2nd task was a good one it was the Colour Fields - Synesthesia. I was very interested in Synesthesia because I found the mixing up of senses to be very interesting. The thought of seeing a sound and how people actually experience it is fascinating and I think it could be developed further.
I struggled with the second task as I kept over thinking it. I was putting the music on and it was all about breaking up the song using colour but I was more focused on the mark making side and just changing colour when I felt like it. I felt like I was missing the point of the exercise so I went back to basics. I drew a straight line put the song on and tried to give a colour to each part of the song and just use block colours to section the song up. This felt a little better but I was still only changing colour when I felt like it. I had two palette of colour and produced a few pieces of work. I then tried to stop over thinking and tried again I came out with more work and simply moved on to the other tasks taking a looser more laid back approach.
