Print room

With in the Print world we have been learning a lot of new skills & all of which I have enjoyed learning. We have been in the print room a few times & I have documented some of my prints, which I will post below.

 This is a print I think works well as the colours relate well to my source Image & the repetition of my motifs make an interesting pattern.

 This is an image I took of my workspace in the print room. I think it put my work into context as this is the process, in which it is created.

 This is an interesting imagine because when we print we have to put a backing cloth down, this means that our print going throughout to not only our material but our backing cloth too. I thought it would be a waist of a print if I didn't take a picture of it. This is a close up of two of my motifs. The one on the right I used a illuminating & reactive dye which I made myself in the dye room. I thought it would be an interesting process.

Here is another motif of mine, in this imagine I have used an illuminating reactive dye & a normal dye together as I wanted to see how it would look once steamed & dried.  The results were very pleasing & something I feel I can experiment with in the future.
