Initial Inspirations and summer work

I drew the inspiration for my project from my travels this past summer. I was in America and Eastern Europe. This led me down the path of global identity and onto my own personal identity.  I want to explore the idea of a person’s identity within this project.
Looking at what makes up a person, their identity? I wanted to start with myself them move onto others. I drew a series of self-portraits, I did my face with and with out glasses and with time restraints. I wanted to change small things about my face until there was nothing recognisable left. I did a series of drawings of myself as part of my summer project, which I intended to develop further within this project. Below are two of the drawings layered on top of each other; I had time restrains on these drawings.
My favourite was my 1 minute drawing as it's so simple it could be anyone one. I  think the ones that work best as when I have just slightly hinted at my identity. I will have gotten an eye or hair just enough to have an affiliation with myself. I would give myself a minute to get a drawing down, then five minutes. This allowed me to look at the shape instead of features. I found this method very useful and intend to carry it on through out this project.
