Home Work station
I have a little set up in my room where I produce most of my video clips. It is a very temporary set up but very useful also. Below are some of my works in progress, I like working with stop motions as it doesn't feel like work it's more about what else I can produce. How many different ways can I create this idea. I found it very enjoyable but also very challenging and I have learnt a lot.

Photo Manipulation and Exhibition ideas.
I began thinking about these photos that I took at Pleasure beach I really liked how they came out and then I thought I should incorporate my 'cogs' into the photos to represent that the fairground is just the surface and that a fairground is just a illusion what goes on behind the surface is the driving power, the every turning 'cog'. I think I may use this in my exhibition as I like the idea of having the spirals going on behind the scene and possibly even over laying my video so they are animated. If that can't be done then I could put some of the shapes into the picture to make them tactile and intractable. I like the idea of the viewers being able to interact in the exhibition space.

Experimenting with different mediums and colours
So my thought behind this idea is more of an experiment than anything. I am just interested in what makes a fairground a fun and appealing place? Is it the rides? I mean they are huge, dangerous and fun so they are a big appeal to children and (me ) or is it the food? You can eat as much candy floss and have as much KFC as you want for the whole day! I can see the appeal in that too.
Or is it something much simpler than all that? Is it the colours and the music, the dazzling glitter and the enormity of the whole place? If you took away all the glitter, bright lights and loud music would people still find it as appealing? This is what gave me my idea.
So I am going to make my normal stop motions which I have previously blogged about but this time I'm going to add in brightly coloured fabrics, multicoloured materials and foils. I will then see which stop motion is more appealing to people the black and white or the colourful ones.
Below are some images I took of the colourful shapes and the black and white ones.

Scarlet Bindi work
I have never fllieres before but I do have experience dodging them in the street. I found that I was one of them on saturday but I built some confidence up and and started picking people and trying to give a few fliers out. As we were only targeting Indians it was quite slim pickings.
We then went to a Indian Fashion exhibition/ pop up store. I was amazed by all the beautiful clothing. Priya another intern is hoping to get engaged soon, she was telling me about what she wanted in her wedding dress and how she imagined it to be.

Studio space
My studio space is my sanctuary, I really enjoy spending time working at my desk for hours on end. I cannot work in my halls my room is too small for me to spread out and I can get distracted far too easily. I can go for lunch and feel confident in leaving my work out, of corse I bring my valuables with me ( I like my space but I'm not naive! )
It's right next to the cafe so I can nip out and get a drink or some food if I want to. I am friends with the girls next to me so it's nice to have a little community of Film and Drawing girls constantly around and available to help me if I have any issues or quires.
